BACKGROUND

Daksh Ugle might be a little 1st grader, but don’t be confused, he has dreams as big as anyone else. Daksh studies in Rameshwer Vidhyalaya, and dreams of becoming a scientist Daksh’s big dreams started with very unfortunate beginnings. His father Mahendrabhai, who was the only source of income, died early in 2013. Mehandrabhai worked hard at a gas station, and died due to some ailment.

Since Daksh’s paternal grandparents were not supporting him and his mother, Maghviben, they were forced to leave their house. Maghviben is now looking for a job to support her family. When Baroda Citizens Council was made aware of Daksh and Maghviben’s situation, it immediately decided to connect Daksh with a sponsor.

Daksh now enthusiastically enjoys spending time at school with his friends, instead of becoming one of the many child laborers in the city.
